The best part about wedding planning is shopping for.. DRESSES!! I’m here to give you a list of 10 top wedding gown trends for 2021. So if you are a Bride and planning to get married next year, these are the styles you want to be on the look out for. The list of bridal gown trends are straight from the fashion runway and let me tell you, there are some good ones! From 80’s inspired sleeves to luxe fabrics and intricate designs you’ll be swooning over. I’m so excited to give you the scoop on what’s going to hot next year.

Here are the Top 10 Bridal gown Trends for 2021:

Bishop Sleeves

Also know as the “Puffy Sleeves”. This was a major trend this year, I’ve seen this everywhere! I love bishop sleeves, it brings such an elegant bold statement to your wedding style and it’ll for sure grasp the attention of your guest. I love how elegant and high fashion this style is, very 80’s inspired. Oh, don’t worry if you don’t want to fully commit to those sleeve, you can always opt for detachable sleeves, perfect for a second look for the night.

Pants Suits/ Jumpsuits

Want to feel comfortable on your wedding day and get down on the dance floor during the reception? This style is for you! Pants are on trend for 2021, it’s very figure flattering and it’s a modern chic look. To switch up the jumpsuit, simply add a long detachable cape or waist train.

Ball Gowns

I feel like ball gowns are on trend every wedding season, what do you think? I love a nice ball gown it’s so dreamy, plus who doesn’t like to feel like a princess for a day?! Instead of your more traditional long train ball gown, expect to see a layering skirt with a modern twist. It brings dimension, hassle-free of a shorter train and it’s lightweight.

Crepe Gowns

After the dreamy wedding of Meghan Markle in 2018, minimalistic wedding gowns has been trending a lot since then. This look is very clean and sleek. Don’t get me wrong, simplistic doesn’t mean basic, with this trend, expect to see intricate designs like a sexy deep V-neckline. Crepe is also a lightweight material and it’s very flattering to the body. Crepe gowns are also perfect for any wedding season and great if you are planning an intimate wedding.

Cap Sleeves

For 2021 cap sleeves is a classic style and expect to see this trend a lot during the fall season of 2021. I’m swooning over the way the designers add a different look to the cap sleeves to make it more of a non-traditional look. If the theme of your wedding is romance and elegance, then this is the style for you.

Bridal Layering

Planning to get married during the fall/winter season of 2021 and you’re worried about the weather? Well you have options, bridal layering is perfect during those unpredictable weather changes, especially during the cold and rainy season. Just to name a couple of examples, Brides are opting for detachable shrugs and extremely long capes. I mean come on that will make a huge grand entrance during your ceremony. Plus, it adds warmth and can work as a veil as well.

Asymmetric gowns was a major trend this year and you’ll see it again all throughout 2021. I love how the designers played around with the mix of fabrics, the high slits and the layering of the neckline to bring a dramatic statement to the gown.

If you are a shoe girl and want to show off those sparkly heels, then this wedding dress style is for you. It’s very non-traditional and you can dance the night away without having to worry about a super heavy gown weighing you down. This dress can work for you if you are planning to elope as well.

Square neckline

Square neckline made a comeback for 2021, it’s a very clean silhouette and perfect if you want to show off your shoulders – it flatters the upper part of the body really well. This trend works for all weddings styles and seasons.

Planning to elope or having a destination beach wedding? Then the slip dress would be perfect for you if you want something that is easy to move around in.
